Install
Download the correct installer from the latest GitHub release:- macOS: Apple silicon or Intel DMG;
- Windows: x64 installer; or
- Linux: x64 AppImage or Debian package.
Start with the Library
Open Skills to see packages discovered across supported agent and project locations. Review duplicates, conflicts, update status, and skills needing attention before changing files. Use Skill Sets to package selected revisions or capture a working project. Every apply begins with a project plan showing the exact destinations and conflicts.Connect an optional remote Library
Open Settings → Sync & Backup, choose SelfTune Cloud or a self-hosted server, and approve the device connection. Desktop stores the credential in the operating-system credential store. This Mac remains the active runtime. Remote connection is limited to features you enable, such as backup, shared Skill Sets, private sharing, and decision history. Raw transcripts are not part of those sync payloads.Back up or move a skill
Open a skill and choose Back up to store its complete immutable folder in the connected Library. Backup does not publish the skill or install it elsewhere. On another connected Desktop, sync the Library, open the backed-up revision, select a supported target, and review the destination. Existing unmanaged folders are not overwritten.Work with a team
Enable Skill Sets backup to make a personal Set available to the selected workspace. Members discover the same immutable revision; admins control whether it is allowed, approval-required, blocked, or required. Open Team for the operational view: who has workspace access, which linked devices have each skill installed, where it is scoped, which agent harnesses use it, when it was last used, and whether an installation needs an update. SelfTune turns those aggregate signals into simple update, adoption, and usage-review recommendations. Use Settings → Workspace to invite people or change roles. Use a private share when one recipient outside the workspace should receive a copy. Use Share Skill Sets securely for the complete recipient journey.Verify the installation
Desktop should discover installed skills before it has observed any sessions. A new installation may therefore show honest no-data states. Confirm that:- the local runtime is healthy;
- expected skill locations appear in Skills;
- no remote destination is connected unless you chose one; and
- project plans remain previews until you explicitly apply them.
